An enteric coating polymer is a material that resists dissolution under acidic gastric conditions but dissolves or becomes sufficiently permeable under suitable intestinal conditions.
Enteric Coating Polymer হলো এমন polymer, যা পাকস্থলীর অম্লীয় পরিবেশে সহজে দ্রবীভূত হয় না, কিন্তু উপযুক্ত intestinal pH-তে দ্রবীভূত হতে বা drug release-এর অনুমতি দিতে পারে। এটি enteric-coated dosage form তৈরিতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। উদাহরণ: Hypromellose phthalate (HPMCP) ও cellulose acetate phthalate (CAP)।
